Sami Labs wins four State Excellence Exports Awards from Visvesvaraya Trade Promotion Centre for the year 2011-12 and 2012-13

VISVESVARAYA TRADE PROMOTION CENTRE (VTPC) is a mandated nodal agency for promotion of Trade from the State of Karnataka. registered under the Karnataka Societies Act. It is supervised and regulated by an autonomous body constituted by the Government of Karnataka. VTPC has been operational since 1965 under the aegis of Department of Industries & Commerce. VTPC is named after Chief architect of modern Karnataka, Bharat Ratna Late Sir M.Visvesvaraya, who was instrumental in the industrialization of the state. As a part of an Export Promotion, the VTPC organizes State Export Awards, every year.

Sabinsa Corp., a subsidiary of Sami Labs, Ltd., has been awarded the second Thomas Alva Edison Patent Award for 2005 in the Enabling Technology/Small Company category for US Patent 6,849,645 concerning the invention entitled "Method of Increased Bioavailability of Nutrients and Pharmaceutical Preparations with Tetrahydropiperine and its Analogues and Derivatives". Sabinsa Corp. received the Thomas Alva Edison Patent Award for the year 2004. The award was presented at the Council's Annual Awards Dinner on November 11, 2004, at the Liberty Science Center, New Jersey. Sabinsa's U.S. patent (No. 5,804,596) for ForsLean® was awarded this honor in the Consumer/Small Company category. This is the second award for ForsLean® in the innovation arena. The product earlier won the Best New Product award in 2001 at Nutracon.
